Scooter's Coffee to Host Donation Day for Sporting KC's The Victory Project
Partnership to Help Kids Battling Cancer Continues on July 19 

Kansas City, KS – Scooter’s Coffee, which has 35 locations in the Kansas City metro area, is hosting their second #CoffeeKicksCancer donation day in 2019 for The Victory Project, an initiative from Sporting Kansas City that unites players, staff and fans to help children battling cancer. On Friday, July 19, Kansas City area Scooter’s Coffee locations will donate 20 percent of proceeds to the foundation to help further its mission.

The partnership includes several #CoffeeKicksCancer days and Days of Giving, where 100 percent of proceeds from a single store will go towards the cause. During the season-long collaboration, Scooter’s Coffee will not only raise money for The Victory Project, but also help raise awareness for the program. Since 2017, Scooter’s Coffee has raised over $80,000 for The Victory Project.

“The Victory Project is very thankful for the continued support from Scooter’s Coffee,” said Ashley Green, Director of Community Programs for Sporting Kansas City and The Victory Project. “The funds that will be raised on Friday’s awareness day will allow us to continue impacting the lives of children battling cancer.”

In addition to the day-long events, customers have also been able to purchase a Victory Smoothie throughout the months of June and July, in which 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Victory Project. The peach-raspberry smoothie is topped with whipped cream and festive blue sprinkles.
